Richie our President took to the stage after being introduced by the ever professional and reliable Sergeant at Arms, Carol West. One day shy of her Birthday. Richie welcomed our guests with verve, style and panache and made us think back to the day when we first walked through the toastmaster door. Then swiftly introduced us to the Toastmaster for the evening: Nikki Ajayi.

Nikki, The African Princess and our African Queen smoothly took us through all the nights proceeding and helped to warm everyone up with imaginative introduction combining other languages.

David Langworthy, was Grammarian for the evening and the Word of the Day was THRASONICAL, meaning boastful.

Pankaj, lighted up our lives with a explanation of the time keepers role - introducing the Yellow card!

Martin Drake #1 - Following your passion.

A wonderful Icebreaker, Martin was confident and assured. We learn't about Martins Days at Newcastle University and how his aim now is to inspire people in his new career as a life couch. He also had time to included this quote: 'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.' - Oscar Wilde. Looking forward Martins #2 speech. Congratulation again!

Hanna Hunter #3 - Living Life On My Terms.

Hanna took us through 7 steps of living life on her terms. Her plans,
actions, ambitions, successes and naming her fears. Hanna talked about her desire to go to Cuba and learn Salsa and her passion for the Stock Market (?) A Brilliantly constructed speech.

Jackie Berrie/Berre #6 - The Danger of Franglais.

A little knowledge of a language is a dangerous thing. Jackie very original and funny speech introduced us to the wonders of other people’s languages and also a few of the Pratt falls. Splendid!Ore Ogungbayi #10 - Oxford Biscuit.

Ore completed her 10th speech and has now achieved the CTM award. Her speech was not only wonderful but also opportunistic, an opportunity arose in the schedule last night and Ore seized it with both hands and great aplomb. We were delighted with phrase like 'We see life through innocent eyes as a child' and 'IF we never let go you will never progress'. We laughed at the story of her Brother, the basalts and those pesky Chickens. Congratulations again x10.

Evaluations were given by: Alex Ward, David Gordon, Dayo Olomu and John Tomsky respectively.

Colin Austin chose “Happiness” as the subject for the Table Topics. The startled audience were like prey to a Hawk as Colin swooped upon his Victims.

David West, Godfrey Nurse, Hectorre (Sorry if I got your name wrong), Keith Taylor, Aroona (Sorry if I've spelled your name wrong also) and Phil Gordon evaded the Colin's fatal pecks and came out talking. You were superb, hats off to you all. Chrissy Quinn and Ren Amer evaluated the Table Topics.
