Our toastmaster for the night was Chrissy Quinn. On her debut she presented the box of delights, ooh, making us all think on our feet with wonderful and varied questions, she was fantastic all night, and no, I am not biased in the slightest. We even finished on time.

The functionaries for the evening were Colin Austin as Timekeeper and
Beatrice Nabulya as Grammarian, the word of the day was 'Exceptional'.

In Search Of Bolognese, ren. Speech #2
A journey in search of the perfect, traditional Italian meal. travelling the Tuscan country side and discovering many amazing sights, unfortunately falling fowl of some appalling cooking!

The Merchant of Venice, Carol West. ADV
Classic Shakespeare as it’s never been spoken before. Sharing with us the timeless narrative that even The Royal Shakespeare Company would have been proud of. Advanced, phat, Carol makes it look easy.

Sex, Shegun Olusanya. Speech #9
Thought provoking through-out, Shegun challenged the audience with a dirty little number 9 and as ever it was delivered superbly. Combining seriousness with wit in an all round accomplished display. Next stop CTM.

Evaluating the speakers tonight were John Tomsky, David Gordon and Martyn Howden

Thandi Haruperi hosted our table topics section of the evening with the most amazingly elaborate questions, my hat off to Thandi and all the participants, you were all truly fantastic.
