'The first rule is to be funny. Otherwise... why?'

Marvelous words from our wonderful Contest Chair for the evening, Colin Austin. (And the leader in the hunt for 'Weapons of Mass Distraction')

Well funny it was and laugh we did.

David Langworthy opened the night, his speech 'Making A Difference' was a super way to break in the evening and tickle our ears, and those of you wondering what a gnu is, see here:

Nikki Ajayi delighted us with her speech 'All in a Day's Work' Using
much tact and diplomacy to share with us the story of Mr. Sundra's speaking back passage.

Godfrey Nurse took us on a tour of his hairline, combing us through 'Looks, Health, Money and Success' and lending us a new

angle on the actual date when the Red Sea was parted.

Alex Ward jet propelled us into 'Being in the now' or 'Ok, we go! Ok, we land' Introducing Paulo and a dazzling array of

hats. Remember, 'be out there, not in here'.

And Finally up swerved Martyn Howden with his speech 'Embarrassing
Moments'. Following his natural progressing from car to truck to racing car to skip and embarrassment, and left us with

something to think about 'who was the weirdo who first tampered with cow's udders'. Answers on a postcard please.

Congratulations to all who took part in the Table Topics Quiz, with the tongue-twisting question 'When you are unhappy, what

do you do to make yourself happy' and many thanks to the Judges and all those involved in the evening.
