Dayo Olomu was back in action as toastmaster, dressed to kill and sparkling with off-the-cuff humour.
Angela Samunda took on her first role as timekeeper with panache and a tough approach: 'My role is to keep you in order'. Our grammarian Anne Rowe set us up for a 'brilliant' evening full of 'empowering language'.
Hanna Hunter took us on 'My road to financial freedom' with an assertive number two speech.
Charles Njoku challenged the audience with a bold theme 'Will your job cut it?', injecting some high-impact drama as always.
Jackie Barry showed us that 'Confidence is the difference', even if inside you feel 'like a small trembling worm'.
Shegun took us to Lagos with a delightful Nigerian folk-tale: 'Who moved the food?' and some curious animal impressions.

After the break, Ren Amer introduced a challenging topics session on the theme of awkward situations, evaluated in style by Chrissy Quinn and Celia Edwards.
Our visiting general evaluator Meg Heyworth summed her feelings: 'I came, I saw, I'm nicking'.
